a question for you all, having had a roadster, what are the positive or negatives for changing to a coupe?
yes recognizing the lack of wind in my hair, no roof motor to fail etc... are their any clear difference in values for comparable cars with same spec etc for each model?
 
The coupe is stiffer, and the guides value it at about £1k-£2k more than the roadster - for similar spec.

I'm not anti-roadster in any shape or form, it's just not worth it for me as I used to burn very easily and wouldn't even have a sunroof open. (used to use factor 50 sunblock, but strangely seemed to have built up a tolerance in the last year).
 
In terms of pure aesthetics I do confess that the coupe scores over the roadster.

However, I would not swap my roadster. There is just something special about driving with the roof down, especially on cold crisp sunny days, with the heating up, the toasty bum set to high, woolly hat and gloves - heaven! :)

Can't beat the feeling of driving at night with the roof down either.

Substitute roof failure for corrosion on the tailgate of coupe.
 
Personal choice.

I think that I'm right in saying that (apart from the roof) the spec is the same i.e. an SI Sport Coupe will have the same goodies as an SI Sport Roadster.
 
I did kick off with a coupe & still wouldn't argue it has the better silhouette at times but the memories of drives out in the 2 roadsters ive had seem stronger plus i realised that Taz's "exclusive coupe club" wasn't that exclusive :poke: he let's anyone in :P

Once your roof motor is moved, that's no longer an issue :thumbsup:

Yeah, I far as I'm aware they should have identical specifications - engines & goodies (providing we are talking about the 3.0si Roadster)
 
The Coupe is a lovely looking car and no doubt gives great performance and exhiliation, whilst being a very practical motor, even as a daily driver ( Dont tell Spikey I said that !).

However, for me, as a second car the bonus s being able to have the roof down and a difference from the normal tin box I drive all week, where you dont enjoy/experience the elements.

So, for me, if 1 Zed, probably a Coupe. As a second car definitely a roadster. :thumbsup:
