As has been said it could be a 20 year commitment!!

We went to look a rescue cat last weekend that wasn't officially a Maine Coon but was also 10kg and slept in a dog basket. Very friendly thing it was (unfortunately it was a black cat and won't match my house or my superstitious ideologies)

Are they as friendly and sociable as I've heard? Apparently they are the dogs of the cat world but then the Internet says a lot of things. Also been lead to believe male cats are friendlier, is this true?

as for breed & friendliness I don't think there is any sure fire way to tell - we have two sisters from the same litter - one is and always has been friendly, always talks, always wants some fuss - the other... only on her terms! - Some of our neighbours don't realise we have two, so secretive is the one!
oh - see my avatar for the friendly one![]()
