Props to the UK Department of Health

Maybe, not so sure it will stop the dedicated smokers though. I suppose if it stops even a small minority from starting to smoke, it's been a success.

During my convalescence I''ve been watching films of the 40's 50's and 60's. Talk about product placement, the tobacco people had the studios in their pockets because smoking is everywhere by everyone it seems. Sure my feelings have something to do with my medical situation but remember I quit smoking over 17 years ago. IMHO, anything to hinder younger peeps from starting helps, even if this campaign only stops one child, it will be worth it. I am sure that within the next generation these killing devices will be phased out of production and distribution. I pray that I am right.

Never too late, my friend. Your quality of life improves the moment you quit.

Mmmm I'd agree with that, I used to be a professional smoker and I managed to quit, just wait for the right time.

I'll add my own  to this line of encouragement. I was a 2 packs of Old Gold Filters/day addict until 1987 and while there is no question that walking away from such a habit is not an easy task I fully agree with the others above that it will be one of the best things you can ever do for yourself.

How you break the habit is a choice only you can make but the one thing that matters is that you take the step in your mind to kick the habit and never allow it to creep back into your life.
