God I hate auto express...

The number of scare stories I've seen over the years from them, they deliberately court headlines and controversy.

Having heard similar scare stories around the Single Vehicle Approval test for kit cars a few years back I say ignore this tabloid nonsense. After SVA was introduced I still managed to get a 460kg Yamaha R1 engined kit car (with no windscreen) registered as a brand new car in 2007 And then drove it around the Alps . I'm not pro Europe, but this stuff usually gets blown out of proportion

Read something in Auto Express this week, it seems our Eurocrats could be bringing in a law that stops any modifications on your car. They are suggesting that to pass an MOT quote " components of the vehicle must comply with the characteristics at the first time of registration" as Auto express put it effectively outlawing any deviation from factory spec. They feel that this would mean even an after market stereo or wheels would fail a normal MOT and that you would need a to do a vehicle approval test.
Not sure if this will go through, but isn't it about time we told them to b********ger off and stop putting laws in place that in real terms mean or do nothing but cost us money. If we said no to this (and many other stupid Euro laws) what really could they do, nothing

don't mind i did'n't see that eighter, but if that happens, al hell is going to break lose over europe, i see big groups of car enthousiasts drive to the european parlement and blok the hell out of it with modded cars. and later on linch al those lazy "i live on taxpayers money but i don't give a s**t about them" MP's
