Proper Etiquette?

So I'm sure it might vary from country to country and I know most here are from across the pond but I figured I'd give it a go here.

So about a week ago I took my buddy out for a birthday dinner at what we consider our "upscale" mall in town. Being as paranoid as I am about my Zed I parked it almost as far away as you can where there weren't any cars. About a few hours later we walked back to the car only to see this............. (I'm sorry about the quality, camera wasn't cooperating and this was the only way I could show the cars without it being completely dark)

Mine is on the right. I really wanted to invite the driver over to the forum and maybe leave a bit of paper in the window or something but ultimately I didn't want to touch the car as again I'm paranoid about people touching my car. I know there are forum stickers but I can't bring myself to put any kind of sticker on my car.

So my question is what would be the proper etiquette in this case? Is it alright to leave a bit of paper on a window inviting the driver to the forum? Our town isn't that large but I do see quite a few Zeds out and about every now and then.

Thoughts?

I'm already on the forum. Just kidding -- not my car. But I live in the area.

I would probably not leave a note or anything. Most people that have an interest will find the forum(s) on their own.

Now, if I happened to be going out to my car at the same time and saw the other person, I'd strike up a conversation and maybe mention the forum then, but that's all the further I would go.

I guess you can always put a sticker or something on your car if you want to advertise. I know my son does that with his Jeep.

I remember when i had my old car (nissan skyline), i came out of the shopping center one day and there was a business card under my windscreen wiper. It simply said

i didn't find that offensive, especially as it was just a business card, not like someone damaged my ride, and I actually did join the forum after reading the card (as i never knew such things as car forums existed) before i received it.

maybe the Z4 forum needs some business cards or something similar?

i would have put a note under his/her windscreen wiper, i often do, i feel there is so much good info on here i am doing them a favour

Yep, I've thought in the past that's a good idea too. Likewise I'm not keen for stickers on my car.

Other car clubs I've been in gave everyone a supply of flyers - I used to keep them in the car although never used them lol.

Nice idea

On te E46zone.com we had flyers, and gave them out to any modded or nice looking 3 series. Although it would take far less time for the Z4's i see

he has clear lights on a pre facelift so he prob is either on here or would have liked to have known about us- plus he parked next to u so again obviously thinks a lot of zs!
