I think I’m close to finishing everything I want to do on the new car:

The E89 wheels have really grown on me and I think they are staying!

M-Sport seats are the future… love them

Really enjoyed sorting the front and rear suspension, plus the engine/vanos work I did this weekend has really transformed the drive. I can’t advocate vanos refresh enough!!

Retrimmed the steering wheel today, not with a mewant kit but similar- good quality from China!

Tomorrow I’m catching the train to pick up a new project! My first 3.0 manual! The biggest and most shocking thing about this is that ITS NOT SAPPHIRE BLACK!

Will update when I get it home

Stuart

If you slowed down a bit life would be cheaper!
Do one job, go and have a beer. Wander back the next day, do a bit more.
Stop diving in and doing it all in one go. You'll have Z4 burnout.

Did you do the CDV?

No thought I’d leave something for another day!!!

I put the wheels back on after the rear end refresh, dropped it off jacks, went for a test drive, stopped at the corner shop and am now working my way through a tinnie or two.
Now that is a work/life balance.

no clunks/knocks! Good job!

You want another one after you’re done? I’ll drop mine round sometime and you can fix it up for me? :P

Hi Stuart, it's good to see someone rescuing unloved Z4s and bringing them back to how they deserve to be.

E89 wheels do work well on E85/6s. I had a set on my previous Coupe, and now have some on my 3 Series daily.

M-Sport seats are a huge improvement. IMHO they should have been standard on all Z4s!

Have a good drive home tomorrow in your next project that isn't Sapphire Black. :driving:
