Perhaps remove the “bum love” stickers before she sees those as she might think the car has something to do with that change of,uh, orientation :lol:

We have now arrived in our French stop for tonight. This car has been amazing! Made all the way to the last petrol station before my copilot decided to chunk one of my lovely CSLs on a kerb. Nevermind, if that is the only scar from the trip I will be well happy!

We found a ‘test’ event… €100 per person per day for a view up Eu Rouge, an open bar and unlimited food. I think the price will go up in future - 350 British, Dutch and Aussies smashed the arse out of it for 2 days!

We made it back safe and sound late on Tuesday night after an epic trip. Only now posting as been horizontal since getting home - picked up a pesky French / Belgian / German bug :thumbsdown:

What a trip! The roofs went down when we were loaded into the tunnel on the way over, and they stayed down for every mile we drove after that! All 3 cars did not miss a beat and we covered 1100 miles, 26 of which on the ring! Obligatory bumper sticker bought… :rofl: :driving: topped off by beating the Merc on my lap. As Martin pointed out, at least they got to see a Merc in front at the F1!

I cannot thank Martin enough for his overwhelmingly unselfish support in getting the car ready. I would not have done it without you pal! And the rest of the support on the forum was amazing. Jamie also wanted me to thank Stuart for the car, which I think has now become a family heirloom as he did the trip with his son!

Next road trip already started to be discussed. Scottish NC 500? Ireland? Miami GP at the end of a road trip down the East Coast? Who knows… but we will always have Belgium!

I’m going to the Ring in two weeks. With @M1TCH
First time since last May. We usually go twice a year and other things have got in the way but I’m feeling good so going while I can.

Great photos. Now got me thinking of doing something too.
I’m sure Stuart will agree that it is nerve wracking to supply a 20 year old car for such an endeavour. A huge relief that the cars all went so well.

Stayed a quite a few different places. Ringhaus. Speedys, place in Adenau behind the Pitstop cafe. Plus lots more I’ve forgotten.
We have rented a house this year through Airbnb.

We should organise a Z4 forum trip maybe. Could be a fun time with lots of Z’s
