So who the hell is El Taco?
I've seen some contributions (if that's the right description), and the only word that comes to mind is w****r.

I don't know who you are (perhaps you can introduce yourself properly), don't know why you joined, but I would be happy to come and personally explain some forum etiquette to you.

He's been fine recently to be fair. Helpful even! Don't offer to meet him though, he'll only resort to some tedious faux-homo trolling.

Brad's car is looking really exciting now. The only thing that concerns me are the wing mirrors. They don't look quite right now the bodywork has been extended beyond them. Some Testarossa length jobbies are needed to add balance I reckon. Also agree on the paint needing some major cutting, assuming the pics are accurately showing the current finish.

Oh dear, you are a prat

I have to say that whilst parts of it are not to my taste, this project is awesome! Car is looking really good and I can't wait to see the finished project.

That would work. They need to be big and lairy! Any plans or are you sticking with the standard ones Brad?

Ok, regarding the wing mirrors... I have not reached a 100% decision regarding these yet. I am looking into the possibility of swapping them out completely for different versions that incorporate side repeaters as the car currently has none!!! Which is an MOT fail as the front lights do not count as 'wraparound' unfortunately...

Failing that I have a pair of smoked out universal side repeaters that I can simply drill a small hole out of the existing bodywork and attach them to the old wiring and job's a good'n... The new side repeaters will go at the top of the V shaped front vents.

I will have a browse on my lunch today at some breakers and see if there are any garish wing mirrors knocking around that may compliment the widths of the car as you're right, I hadn't given it much thought. The current wing mirrors are heated, electric and folding and I can see out the sides of the car fine with them how they are, the rear arches do not obscure the rear view (much) so I was planning on leaving them as they are.

or swapping them for these...

Loving your project, also like the possible choice of mirrors

Looking good. Regarding the wing mirrors maybe consider something as radical as the rest of the body, but using the guts from your existing mirrors. You're heading towards a 650S so don't let little things like the mirrors spoil the overall effect. :D

How much flatting are you gonna do to that paint ?Its got more dimples and dry spots than a cheap hookers arse.

I think you have a week of finishing off to do as yet....

Keep going, the end is in sight..

Its either very bad lighting that's giving the effect of dimples and orange peel or the gun is set up wrong and to fix it needs a hell of a lot of P2000 is going to be needed.

Someone stole Project Marmite !

I've been following this for a while, didn't quite know what to think at the start, but one things for certain that Brad needs to be applauded for seeing this project through. It is a Marmite car, and won't appeal to many, but then most show car's don't.
Good on you Brad and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Hello Brad,

Just wondering when we can expect to see the finished car? I think your teaser video said it was being unveiled on 03/30/2014. Keep up the good work.

Cheers

Jon.

Just catching up with this thread as I've barely been on in a while.

Looking interesting, and I think a professional photoshoot when it's painted and finished is a must.

As for taco bell, chill out lad. Sink a few beers, stick on some music, whip ya top off and have a proper lovely time.

.

Just looked back through to page 67 and seems it should have been revealed 3/3/14. Really looking forward to seeing this creation.
