Well as Dirty Harry so eloquently put it....

"Opinions are like like assholes.......

.......everybody's got one"

Personally I like things that are different and even if not to my own taste I can always appreciate the time and effort that has gone into a project.

Dont know why some here are so bloody rude ! Whether you like it or not, brad has got to be commended for his spirit, sfter the break in and theft of bits he picked himself up and carried on, many donated to help him out which was really good, but having seen the results i have no doubt he would still have done it if no one gave a penny, for every started project probably less than a quarter get finished, i for one had doubts over the amount of filler that went into it but as it has progerssed i realised that brad had avision ant the gumption to see it to the end, he always said it was acshow car And would be wild. Look at boyd coddintons cars , they are completely skimmed with filler to get the end result. Looking forward to seeing it, it will be marmite and brad was the first to acknowledge that.the c word should imo be reserved for poiticians such as blair and mandelson not forum members who have provided endless posts and food for discussion. , build on , brad

I cant wait to see the end result. I think it is really great that someone is building something different. I respect that. :)

Well, thank you to the select few for the wonderful comments about how I can't do whatever the damn well I like to my car :) I appreciate the negative comments I really do, embrace the hate! I think your opinions are valid, and they do have some merit, yes what I have done has not gone 100% in line with the excellent original BMW design work that has made the Z4 such an iconic roadster, to the purists of you out there who love and appreciate their stock Z4's yes I have somewhat bastardised the car but among the modified car scene there is a well known phrase... "Form over function" this car is not practical, this car is not driveable (in the sense that it was originally designed for), it doesn't go over speed bumps, has an almost non-existent turning circle and is louder than anything else i've heard to the point where you can't physically have a conversation with someone when going over 2,500 RPM...

and I LOVE IT!

I don't think you can portray something as project marmite and then come over all Violet Elizabeth when someone doesn't like it

Hope you get it finished and you are happy with it

Just an observation, but you've done a whole heap of work to get it this far, but then cut corners by masking up the mirrors, glass. And trim. Surely an extra 20 mins spent removing them would pay dividens in terms of final finish quality.

Who the hell is this El Taco, seems very rude and childish, needs to get a life and grow up, a lot.

Also don’t get why people have to resort to using foul language as above on previous page, on a car forum, shows a total lack of respect for other forum users.

I am and always have been for over 45+ years really into anything to do with cars, have even built/rebuilt from scratch several myself over the years, but I have to admit I really don’t get why you would build a car with so much body filler, but I can also appreciate that a hell of a lot of very hard work has gone into this project and have respect for anyone who puts that much effort in.

Looking forward to seeing the final result.

It's primer isn't it? So doesn't matter

Reminds me of the Clio V6 with them huuuuge side skirts and vents.

side note: i have been following this thread for a while and am able to keep my gob shut when i disagree with Brads decisions and styling.

As it happens, im very open minded and love the whole project :)

Your car your rules ,keep up the good work,my opion for what its worth is,If noboby pushed the boundries we would all be driving black model T fords.

Surely it would not be worth all of this work if at the end it looked kinda like a Z4?

Personally I think it's looking great, can't wait to see it painted
