go on NOVA ill let you take the first 25 pages to find the supplier name   :D

hahaha well im waiting to see what comes back from 2xcite

You're f**ked if you try to order lights from 2xcite... especially if yours came out the factory with xenons... just trust me on this one. They won't work they are only for z4's that didn't come with xenons as standard, The waiting list is into next year too.

Supplier is Evolution Autoparts in California.

ive been in touch with her and she has confirmed that they are expecting some Mid November, i've just got the standard 2003 SE light that have h7 bulbs so i thought i would be ok with them?

I thought all SE models came with Xenons? look... it's pretty simple, if you car currently has XENONS and came out of the factory WITH XENONS... 2Xcites lights will not work without buying a seperate HID kit and retro fitting them into the units you buy, which voids the warranty and can cause condensation in your lights... if you car currently doesn't have xenons, then you are fine to use 2xcites lights.

The units I bought are specifically made FOR the Xenon version of the E85.

It's your call at the end of the day

I cannot believe people are still asking the same questions regarding these replacement lights/HALOS/Xenons, etc.

I've answered these all a million times in earlier posts...

Long story short.

These headlights are the following:

100% FULLY WORKING OEM XENON direct REPLACEMENTS (for models that came WITH XENONS AS STANDARD such as the 'SE'), with BLACKED OUT SURROUNDINGS, HALOS (WHICH ARE WIRED INTO THE SIDE LIGHTS YOURSELF)

They are from a USA supplier and come configured for LHD vehicles... BUT have 4 adjustment screws located on the back of the units which alter independently both beams UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT. So with a little bit of patience can be made the suit RHD cars no problem (I'll post proof of beam if necessary).

Cost was cheap... but you will have to pay for customs and VAT.

Delivery time took 5 weeks!!!!!!! :headbang:

Sorry if you've answere this question...
You say the lamps are configured for LHD vehicles? Will that not mean the beam pattern also therefore kicks up to the centre of the road? Therefore when you say adjust to suit you will bring the kick below horizontal?

Hi all,

Just thought i'd spend my lunchtime at work posting a little update on the project as (from your perspective at least) it would seem to have gotten stale... quite the opposite in fact.

We are at the stage in the project where a lot of time is spent perfecting every single little bump, curve and dent. When you are preparing a car which pretty much has had it's main paintable surfaces made from scratch there are a lot of imperfections that crop up when you get up close and that simply will not do.

It has been a case of applying filler, sanding applying etch primer and then finding tiny little dinks that i'm not happy with and so it's back to applying spots of filler, sanding and then re applying etch primer. It's a slow process and taking far longer than anyone thought possible but is a necessary evil. It's got to the stage now where we can spend an entire saturday on it and from the untrained eye will look exactly how we left it in the morning, when in fact a lot has gone on.

I know you lot just want pictures but I am finding it difficult to simply take a picture of the car that isn't showing you all 'something new' so I may take some really close up shots tomorrow of the bodywork to really show you how fine a grade of sand paper we are using to get the finish I want.

Paint has been chosen and a paint date is being set for mid November. It's going to be close but I am 90% certain it will done done for the Essex meet. If not it will at least be driveable/in one coat of base paint so i can still bring it up to you guys.

cheers!

thought id share with you some very unusual pics from marmite today. some of the underside of the arches as we prepare for stonechip and paint.

I'm not thinking about sound.. just looks and "balance".. I dunno.. just think with all the excellent work, I would be like "huh?".

Still, tis your car and your project and I'm sure it'll look amazing either way :)
