Those big wings that seem popular with yoofs these days actually wouldn't look so bad if they were attached with more professional looking mounts and colour coded instead of looking like a blind mechanic has fitted them to the wrong car using flimsy bits of meccano.

I don't hate them I just think they look like like a half finished job.

Good thing the entire wing is getting an entire refurb with white legs and side plates and 4 coats of laquer on it

On a normal zed the spoiler/wing would look pants, but yours is no longer a normal zed and I think it compliments the rest of the car really well.

Looks like it's getting close to completion, think all the dust and fingerprints would be affecting my OCD, bet you cant wait to paint then clean her.

Well it's certainly progressing.

Given all the radical changes what's to hate with a wing. On a stock Zed it would of course look ridiculous.

Id say the wing isn't quite wife enough for the car. Looks a little odd (to me) having the arch line so much further out than the ends of the wing! Get a wider one!! Or extend this somehow

X2 , but I doubt there's an off the peg option for uber wide z4!

X3.....

Im sure it could be extended somehow,it doesnt seem correct to the eye to have all that fatness and a skinny spoiler.

Certainly is progressing.

I'd have to agree the wing needs to be as wide as the car to pull it off - if thats even possible - wothout going to an actual aircraft wing!

Also on the extended arches are you going to plate/ cover the underside? There is a side profile pic where you can see the ground between the wheel and the arch.

Think the spoiler needs to follow the top lines of the car, or oppose them. It doesn't curve around enough for me. I'd also agree that it needs to have pillars filled out to get rid of the meccano look :)

Looks almost Z4 GT3 Esque - coming along nicely - looks to me like it will suit a hardtop rather than its convertible roof

That's a good comment, you might suffer from a parachute effect as the air goes under the car and billows up into the void.

The spoiler is the correct size imo. There was the option of going fibreglass and making it as wide as the body of the car, but it would look horrendous and as if I was running some time attack car... not good imo...

Th Exige works because although the wings are wide they are heavily chamfered and narrowed to give it a pert ass..

Yours just has a fat ass,so needs a fat ass spoiler...

Looks great though

I'd love to see your "interpretation" of a V10-powered ///M coupe :D

Getting there! I can't wait to see what it looks like in person, I can only imagine it to look batshit crazy.

Dont fall foul of the construction and use regulations:-

4.2.4. Position 4.2.4.1. Width:

The edge of the illuminating surface which is farthest from the vehicle's median longitudinal plane must be not more than 400 mm from the extreme outer edge of the vehicle.

The inner edges of the illuminating surfaces must be not less than 600 mm apart.

it looks like with the wing extensions you might be marginal.
