I have seen it in the past where a painter mixes paint and lacquer so the paint becomes translucent and you can still see the carbon weave, yet from a few foot away it looks to be colour coded.
I saw this a few years ago on a Ducati.
From what the guy that owned it said it was a red candy lacquer that was sprayed over the carbon panels, looked really good and different.

Take a few photos and mess around with colours on photoshop? Costs nowt.

This has to be the most sensible thing that El Taco has ever said, I suppose there has to be a first time at some point

Obviously El Taco missed this Brad, he was more than likely concentrating on writing superfluous, irrelevant and non sequitur comments

Anyway enough of the "distractions" Brad, I have been following this thread for ages and I like the way your zed is turning out, can't looking forward to seeing the end result

One which you seem oddly insistent of being a part of. I can't help but notice that you manage to include yourself into these attempted put downs of the community by sticking around. Curious.

PLOT TWIST: What if I am El Taco and this was the greatest long con of the century producing an elaborate 'good cop, bad cop' routine to spur continued viewership in the project marmite thread.

Didn't see it. Looks like your tribute to Andy Warhol.

In filler :D

PLOT TWIST 2: El Taco absolutely loves this car but wants to be able to buy it as cheaply as possible.

:D

I'd be pissed off if I found it...

What 's been done for rust prevention on the underside of all those new panels?

An entire tub of seam sealer & 3.5 litres of stone chip.... that was a fun weekend.

So no rust prevention then.
