I think they look great Brad (although not quite 300w output per mirror :poke: )

Thanks a lot appreciate it. I am looking into every little detail before I commit it to paint, this has to be done right I won't get a second chance once I commit to paint, not unless we do another forum whip around haha! :roll:
 
I've had the same thoughts on doing that to my mirrors for a while. Nicely done. It looks like the drivers side ones stay on between flashes though...

Decided on the colour yet? Z4 valencia orange (if that is the correct name)? Ferrari red? Porsche yellow? :-)

Have you thought about covering it in glue and driving through Halfords?

He hopes to make me crack one day, or maybe get me crying in the corner of a cold shower he also revels off the attention this thread gives him by the looks of it. Sad really.

The car will be a colour that is decided upon pretty much at the last second! haha! Eurotrip will be awesome can't wait! Though I won't be tracking it! Will most likely rent a car from one of the training schools!

The lights are a pretty cool mod and the drivers side LED's stay on because of a wiring error I made, not to worry though just need to clip it and re solder it so the circuit mimics the other side. :thumbsup:

how did you wire up the led? just put 3 or 4 in series so a ballast resistor is not needed and then had several sets in parallel to make the chain? wouldnt mind doing that to my westy mirrors as no one seems to see that at all which is surprising as it was last measured at 100db@3K rpm

or did you have a common 12v rail and individual resistors per LED to sort out the current?
