It's only the passenger seat that has an occupancy sensor mate. The drivers one thinks it's occupied based upon the fact the car is moving.

It's the small black box under the seat. It can be unplugged from the seat loom by sliding the top clip back on the connector block, then each piece connector can be removed individually. Then a £10 occupancy bypass unit from eBay will solve your problem.

If you want to sell the sensor with the seat, you can normally pick a spare up for about £20 or so. I have a spare we could make a deal towards those headlights ;)

Had an idea for your new paint job.

Your don't need any bypass for passenger seat

see, that would be quite a useful post if you explained why not Marius, as I was of the same understanding as the OP, that a bypass would be needed :headbang: :P

I agree... what are you on about? All my previous research indicated I'll have an airbag warning light issues if I dont put in a relay of some kind along with buckets.

this was what I was under the impression of thinking, also would the airbag not deploy in a crash if the passenger seat isnt occupied? and if it was occupied but the car didnt know it and no airbag deployed... UHOH

as i've said before , you don't have any warning lights, i did few 100 miles trips without the passenger seat . Occupancy sensor has nothing to do with the airbag system.

When are you planning on having this finished by? You planning to roll up to Z-Fest at all?

The deadline for this build on the whole is July 21st as I am entered into a national modified car event. The deadline for the exterior part of the build is May 18th as I have a photoshoot with a magazine then.

In regards to Z-Fest, I would honestly love to... But we will see.

Which shows that mate? Would be interested in seeing this in the flesh.

First small show is in Devon, Modified mania July 21st... then onto the national meets in Manchester, Birmingham etc... IF this turns out how I want it to! :P A LOT could potentially go wrong. Which i think some forums members are hoping for

I don't think anyone on here would hope it goes wrong! I for one want it to look amazing but I'm finding it kinda hard to visualise! Good luck though mate

Custom car builds always go wrong.

That's all part of the fun, putting it right, changing things, banging your head against the wall and getting there in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project, but keep up with the pictures as its great to see every little stage to keep our breath bated.

It must just be an issue if you have a seat there, also, passenger airbags don't fire if it's showing as unoccupied do they??

Mate I am sure no one hear wants this to fail. I am 100% sure a lot won't like it!!

If you run in to any problems ask the questions on hear. I am sure you have a great team. But I have worked in research and development on scientific equipment for almost 10 years. 1 thing I have learnt is no one person or team knows it all.............

Looks like this could be one mental motor! Can't wait to see the end product. Good luck!

Make sure you put an ///M badge on it when you're finished.

Have you seen that thread? some mad work going on there too...

I hope you have it down on paper or rendered on computer somewhere. This can be really cool or you can really cock it up if you don't do it right. Fingers crossed...

Thanks for posting it up on the Forum - looking forward to seeing the progress and development as well as the finished project.
