I'm still gobsmacked he did all this to a 2.2i (sorry 2.2 owners) why didn't he start with at least a 3.0i and supercharge it If your going to spend that sort of cash?! At least it would have some real go to match all that pig ugly show! :fuelfire:

Johnny Essex the 2nd?!
Well f**k me its mugs like you Steve and the other comment from "Gasman" that I dont post or comment on here anymore, as you all know Ive gone very quite on here the past year or so and this is the first time in ages I've even read a thread and I find this s**t straight away, your just a couple of two faced f***s that talk bollox like a couple of little school girls behind my back.
I just cannot f***ing believe "some" of you boring mugs ARE still going on about why I modded a 2L ( because its not fast ) but then trying a Turbo ( to make it go faster ) .......I cant win and its f***ing pathetic!
Again its "some" members like you are the reason many dont post on this forum but just view same as me now, and also why I do not go to any meets either now, why should I waste my f***ing time, putting on the miles and wear and tear to share my Zed with members like this, when its them that have the boring tatty zeds half the time.
The 2.2L owners take the piss out of the 2L owners, the 2.5L take the piss out of the 2.2L owners, the 3L owners take the piss out of the 2.5L, the ///M owners take the piss out everyone, the E85 owners take the piss out of the E86 owners and vice versa, the E89 owners take the piss out of the E85/86 owners and vice versa, the E89 3.5L owners take the piss out of the other E89 owners, the guys with sport seats take the piss of the SE seat owners, the facelift Zeds take the piss out of the pre facelift owners.....it goes on and on and on and its f***ing boring me now, and I'm affraid and theres a big f***ing difference between banter ( which HAS to be face to face ) and being a two faced tosser ( behind your back when they think you not looking on here anymore ) , and these two guys are just two of the two faced tossers with their remarks.
I will let you all agree/disagree with this all you want, im sure and hope my last comment turns this into a 100 page thread now because thats what I do lol but sadly I wont be reading them tho, and can you believe its been nearly 4 years since I joined.......but now consider this as me leaving the forum on Christmas day.....I guess my last words will be Merry Christmas and I hope 2017 brings the forum changes it needs for the better, to those members I respect, helped and supported me I say thankyou.......this is jonny essex signing off.

They never made a 3.5 e89, they made a 35i or 35is which is a 3.0

I was going to leave it as a short reply, but I feel I need to say more.

"Two Faced" Someone who says one thing behind your back and another contradictory thing to your face. I've never spoken to you face to face, but I've NEVER changed my position on you when posting on the forum. That means I can't be two faced.

"Mug" Someone who pays a known con man to take his car apart and leave it in bits, meaning you have to pay someone else to put it back together.

List goes on.

Rant away Johnny, I don't care. You can blame me and one other person for you leaving the forum as much as you like, but its not just me and Gasman that took the piss, plenty of other have and plenty of others will. The thing is Johnny, its a forum, people come, people go, and while some people may have left because of the piss taking and "banter" on here just as many choose to stick it out and not take it to heart. Ultimately you need to realise you were your own worst enemy on here, the amount of crap you posted was unreal, and the rubbish you came out with and indeed still do come out with gave a lot of us a great deal of entertainment, and for that I am truly grateful, you are one of a kind.
I can't speak for anybody on here apart from myself, but IF I were attending meets (For the record I don't I lost interest in that sort of thing years ago) and you decided not to share your Z with me, I'd not be too upset, its only a car, and tbh its not a particularity exciting car, it has a red roof, and big wheels, lots of polish and a few ///M parts stuck on, but its nothing special. Now if it was a supercharged ///M, then I'd be interested because that is a very special car indeed.

I'll leave it at that, I hope you read it, don't want you thinking I'm two faced or anything.

Merry Christmas all...

Christ...

This is why me and quite a few older members dont frequent the site anymore its just a cock measuring contest most of the time full of arguments and keyboard warriors.

The helpful threads are few and far between and keyboard warriors run wild.

Just pathetic. Grow up.

If you feel the need to come onto Z4-forum to berate people then you must be so satisfied with your life outside the web.

Re: Jonny's post
You have to have a thick skin to survive on most forums and this one’s no exception, particularly if you’re controversial and opinionated.
I agree with Perry – you can have lots of banter on a forum, that’s part of the fun isn’t it? Occasionally though, good-humoured banter can cross the line and feel like a personal attack, which is when the thick skin helps  I mean look at all the stick Chris_D gets, but he’s big enough to take it and either ignore it or fire off a classic comeback without getting nasty, and because of that he gains respect.
I guess if you cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen, but if you do leave I for one will miss your unique contributions and individual style.

100% this, there's so many worse forums about for abuse and banter. Just suck it up!

Thank goodness we are all different and not of the same mould! Life would be boring otherwise! This forum is big enough for all of us! Decide to be happy here!

Chris D deserves it though
The problem is, you can write something with a certain meaning and it is read totally different, I don't think this is a nasty forum and the banter is quite tame compared to some.
Some times a wall flower will take it the wrong way and feel offended

I never ever considered myself as 'getting stick' here at all. I took it all as good-humoured banter and now that I have my 'feet under the table' so to speak, have come to expect nothing less - something that, if you've ever worked on oil-rigs, been around building sites and ESPECIALLY if you've spent any time at Sellafield is par for the course and will seem like childs play in comparison to what gets said and posted here.

Maybe I do have a thick skin but more importantly I think I have the self-respect and confidence in my own abilities and achievements that others may be lacking. Some are also more sensitive to cursory jibes than others and that's where it kicks off I think. I kicked off at BenG for some of his comments until I realised it was his own particular kind of banter. I'd probably buy him a pint now if I ever met him! (I'd gob in it first tho  )

Let's face it, we'd probably never say any of the the things we say on here in person. I probably would cos I can run quite fast, and I can pedal even faster
I have to agree that there is an invisible line which some peeps misjudge a bit and it all ends up getting a bit frosty - that's the nature of forums and EXACTLY why the same convos would go differently down the pub!

I'm loving this forum and it's definitely proved invaluable to those who've offered advice and guidance for various things related to getting my jalopy up and running but I'd suggest that it's maybe not for the feint-hearted and weak-of-riposte. Maybe there should be a health warning on the registration page. something along the lines of:

'Thinking of signing up to this forum?
A few words of warning -
Be prepared for incessant and brutal piss-taking.
Post photos at your own risk and expect to be humiliated.
Don't get upset when someone berates you or your zed and be prepared for this on every posting.
Grow a set and defend and speak up for yourself when an argument ensues.
Buddy up with like-minded members in order to defend and then reciprocate bullying, harrassment and torments.'

OK, maybe not. Maybe that's a bit too :fuelfire:

I've been a member of a few forums now but admittedly, this has been by a country mile the most sarcastic, sometimes-abusive but enjoyingly banter-filled community I've experienced. And I love it!
It's not for everyone - and in that case maybe it's best to stay away.
If you can't stand the heat....etc.

You've not been on Pistonheads then a Chris?
I lurk there srhutch. In a lurkingly, lurk-like fashion.
I remember registering back when I had the atom and got the impression it was a bit 'bitchy and brutal'. Then I lost my reg details and didnt bother re-registering.
Still good for a lurk though...

If I can add one other thing to Chris_D's tongue in cheek Forum advice:

Never post when pissed. The euphoria of getting it all off your chest in what is perceived at the time to be an erudite and succinct monologue, turns out to be a self-indulgant, sanctimonious, torrent of drivel in the cold light of day.

Also dont post anything if you cant handle other peoples opinions.

Getting back to why I don't frequent the pistonheads forum, just check out the abuse that an innocent E86-owner gets for bad parking....lol
