Project Jigsaw- complete!

Aircon regassed today

Running sweet and cool!!

Final list is locked in:

Adjust the steering angle sensor (keep getting 5e43 code)
Adjust the steering motor ring- very slight sticky steering sometimes when hot
Adjust the handbrake- too much travel
Clean the vanos return valve filters- iffy idle on startup
Fit grom hands free kit

It’s done 100 miles since the mot and its a really decent place to be- strong as an ox pulls like a train

Wow, that looks brill and another one saved from the scrap yard. Someone is going to be very happy and proud to own that Zed.

Well done Stewpot! You are a bit of a Leg-end really.

Now get your lazy arse down here and help me with this pile-o-shite Z3.

PS. The wilderness next to your new gaff needs strimming! :D

Well done Stuart.

It's good to know you're just up the road when mine needs a major fix :)

Build a garage (or two) on top

According to the ‘to do’ list, that’s it

I wanted to give it a good shakedown post MOT before parting with it to make sure there were no issues.

Air con regassed works well!

There was an EML that popped up with no real codes to mention. Hasn’t returned. However it does have a poor idle on startup which I can’t resolve. With very light pressure on the accelerator it goes. I’ve cleaned the vanos and the non return valves to see if that makes a difference.

The handbrake needed readjusting- sorted

I’ve fitted a grom unit to get it connected to phones and music streaming

So all it needs is a new owner…

I’m gutted. I’d keep it but can’t justify two 3.0si and if I had a gun to my head it would have to be a coupe: but it’s been nice to drop the roof

A great car. A great project.

A great project and a great outcome.

I bought a 330i in 2019 as a daily and thought two 3 litre N52s didn't make much sense, so I replaced my 3.0Si with my MC!

Manmaths can be used to justify anything.
