Programming Remote Control?

Sorry is not a list as such, If you read the manual theres an image/icon which references any feature that can be activated or deactivated and throughout the manual this image/icon is used everytime a feature is avaible and explains what it is and how its used.

ps. your manual may differ from mine as i noticed your car is a 2003.

There is a 'list' and it's specific to each year, model and market. Ask the service or sales desk to print it out. The list contains a series of options that are car specific and others that are key specific. Some things like roof remote can't (or won't) be done by a dealer but Indy's have been known to do it.

Attached is a poor fax copy of mine after programming when I got the car, but will give you all an idea ot what to be thinking about:

Why wont the dealer do the remote roof opening, its in the user manual as a feature?

It is not in the manual on the pre-face cars... it seems only independants can manage it on pre face lift...

Cool, thanks for going to the trouble of posting your fax, i will call into a dealer and see if they can help, thanks again

Oh ok, so i should be fine as mines a face lift 2007 model. Think i'll try and get them to email a list of all the available features. If they do i'll post it on here for future reference.

Glad to help. Note also how different keys can have diffeent features such as my wife on key 2 likes autolock on drive off, but I hate that feature.

Some markets also seem to restrict things like IIRC US markets don't have one touch close on windows in case they kill themselves with it...lol

lol... ok thanks again, it would be interesting to see what the full range of features are, hopefully"un1eash" you might be able to compile it from your email, thanks again guys

Nope, my one-touch close windows work just fine, lol.

One of the only advantages to cars with iDrive is the customer can do the programming themselves for most things.

Might be roof closing or something then, but would have to look back to find what it was. I know how the government likes to nanny you guys..lol

Yeah, the Government Nanny is a royal PITA. Of course, we've done it to ourselves (well and all those frivolous lawsuits  )
