Programming key

Hi,

How can I go about programming the keys for my coupe? From the basic, open the boot button (currently doesn't), to the more detailed available preferences (visual unlock, seat position etc)?

Take it to a dealer or Indy. There are 2 sorts of programming Car and key specific. Each market, model and year has a different list, so go to BMW and ask them to print a list for you.

you need SSSv32 software, do a search on here as its been talked about alot

or take it to the dealers as cj10jeeper says

If your in London try giving Ben at bmkeys.com a call.

I used him to get a Bentley style flip key which came with a new transponder so didn't have to butcher my old key and the whole thing including programming cost me £70.00.

I know he has all the software and is way cheaper than a dealer.

He quoted me £20 to program the roof with the key...sounds good to me but he also said its tricky which makes me a bit worried that he's not confident in doing it...?

Thanks Marius, :) I'd love to take you up on it but I'm about 44 miles in to London from Gatwick...I'll be going on the A20/M20 towards Maidstone on Friday.

Drop on to google and search programme Z4 key and you will get a set of instruction on how todo it. That's what I did to get mine up and running.

Very simple and takes 2 mins. set of instructions like-
Turn key to position 1
Using first keyfob, Press this button then press another button 3 times... (Not exact but you get the gist!)
Very easy mate. Mine worked the seat adjustment, roof, boot etc.
