Production question

Just got a note from BMW to say my car will enter production next week and should arrive early April but could come forward.

From everyones past experience are delivery dates likely to come forward...or do they actually slip back?

I have no idea how long it actually takes to build a Z4....?
 
Tbh it seems to be completely random. My car was initially delayed by a month then it arrived two weeks before the new delivery date.

I think there must be an it interface somewhere that requires some oik to press something that means nobody knows what's going on :tumbleweed:
 
Ordered my car in August, was told for a November delivery, 2/3 weeks later was told it wouldn't be till early January, which I didn't mind as I don't use it during the winter, then had a call end of October to say it would be here in a couple of weeks so who knows, personally I think that was just the dealers playing silly buggers because they knew I was in no hurry to get the car
 
I really hope mine arrives early!
First time of ordering a brand new car, the wait is already getting to me! :P
 
Mine went into production 10 days ago, 2 weeks early. Completed after 4 days and has been sat in the transport for 6 days bjs :headbang:

BMW told me today they are experiencing delay - wind at port, high demand (with new reg plate coming into effect) were some of the excuses given. They now recon it might not even make the original date.

So I've decided not to take note of anything they say. I've put together all the document and mobilized my money so it's good to go at anytime. Exciting times though :driving:
