Whao. really surprised by how few they built I thought it would be 10000+ for each RHD and LHD. I wonder how it compares to those infernal Porker Caymans/ Boxers

I dont believe that the M was ever offered in Merlot, as fas as I know Merlot was only a standard colour option for the original z4 models

I know at least one other with Ruby Black and Champagne - although mine has extended individual champagne which covers the transmission tunnel, whereas the other doesn't go that high, so mine is unique (anyway, I've got cupholders and extended storage ).

What is extended storage?

If you mean Coupés... LD is RHD Roadster, LE is LHD Roadster...

Love the way the RHD Roadster is the rarest of them all.. 8)

How does the chassis of the E86 M Coupe differ from that of the E85 M Roadster?
Though the vast majority of chassis components are shared between the E86 M Coupe and the E85 M Roadster, the following items do differ: steering ratio ( 14.5:1 in the M Coupe versus 15.4:1 in the M Roadster), rear anti-roll bar thickness (22.5 mm in the M Coupe versus 21.5 mm in the M Roadster) and shock rates (slightly stiffer in the M Coupe than in the M Roadster).

I believe the steering ratio for Z4mC is 12.8 which is the 2nd fastest steering after the new 1M at 12.2
