Production figures per year

We all know the M was manufactured between 06 and technically 09 (I believe there are some that made it onto an 09 plate?) and very kindly we've been shown a table of figures as to how many MR's and MC's were produced in each colour variant but here's a different view... Does anyone know how many of each were produced in each manufacturing year? I.e 100 MR's in 06/56, 200 in 07/57 etc

and section 2.1 gives some figures.

I found this site: http://www.bmwmdata.com/E86_M_Coupe.html , very cool indeed just a shame it's for American figures only. Seem to be coming unstuck when locating UK only figures.

I don't believe any where made in 2009, some where registered in 2009 however made in 2008

Yes that's what I suspected. I think the last point of manufacture was August 08.

I think that's correct, although not an M, I have an August 2008, first registered March 2009, obviously one of the very last to be made

M market is pretty shabby just now. Can't find any to my taste with right spec

Couldn't have said that any better myself, it's very thin at the moment. Fingers crossed as the year gets going we'll see some special ones hit the market

I noticed this myself when looking not much choice out there at the moment, it's part of the reason I jumped all over mine.

The e36 M3 have also really declined in numbers.

Yeah there's normally a lot of E46 M3's for sale in comparison. You got a great looking beast, I saw your thread
