Problems, Please help!

Hi there, i am new to this forum, but am hoping to pick your brains!

I have a 2.5Si Sport on a 56 plate, I took ownership Feb. 08, I have had no end of problems form lots of interior trim falling off, new starter motor, new window motors, oil sensor, glove box, scuttle plate, new drivers seat (I am only 11 stone!) to having the roof replaced!

My latest problem is the roof was replaced August 08 and I now have another hole in the canvas, I still have the remainder of the manufacturers warranty left, BMW UK sent a technician to look at the roof, but have said they will not replace it under warranty - they say it is wear and tear! I cannot understand how they think this as the roof is 10 months old.

This is a very brief history of this car as I don't want to bore you all!

Any advice would be gratefully received!

The roof hole is just over the drivers door, in the double stitched edge but as it folds back it rubs on the rubber seal, gone through the canvas and down to the rubber inside.

The previous hole was slightly further in towards the middle, on the next corner! but rubbing on the seal again.
 
Sounds like the roof was badly fitted, my roof is up and down like a whore's drawers but no sign of wear.
