Problem

while trying to post to a thread 'cruise control' Ikeep getting this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1245184 bytes) in /home/jsz4foru/public_html/forum/includes/utf/data/utf_compatibility_decomp.php on line 2

Doesn't mean much to me???
 
mmm, that's a little worrying. I did some upgrades on the server over the weekend and it involved recompiling the Apache webserver. It shouldn't have affected posting a thread though. Looks like it was trying to post 12 meg in one go... how big was this thread?
 
I am a little concerned as to why creating a thread was taking us above the 8Meg limit. I have up'd the limit for the time being and will try to find out what was causing it.

Can you PM me with details of what you were trying to post, so I can do some testing on the development forum?

No probs, am sure you did nothing wrong, I just need to work out what i've screwed up before it affects anything else. Please drop me a PM with a link to the thread and i'll see what I can find out.
