Problem with a pipe, advise please

Hi all, having a look round the engine bay after topping up with some oil the other day and noticed this pipe is really deformed ? car drives ok though noticed at low speeds it can some times kangaroo slightly could this pipe have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advanced for any advice.

That's The Brake Servo Vacuum Line, Mine exactly same on my M54 2.2, just bought new one from dealers... :D

That's The Brake Servo Vacuum Line, Mine exactly same on my M54 2.2, just bought new one from dealers... :D

Great, what they charging at the stealers for one? Easy to fit?

Great, what they charging at the stealers for one? Easy to fit?

Think off hand it was £12 ish? But purchased with lots of other bits too...Simple, has the factory one use clips either end so just replace those with jubilee clips should be a 5 min job. :thumbsup:

Do you have the part number by any chance just having a look at real OEM and can't work out which one it is ?

Is it 11727545323?

Maybe just old age? If it's a vacuum line then when it gets weaker it will tend to get sucked in.
Whereas a fluid line will still be full so hold it's shape. Will take a lot more pressure to make the pipe bulge out of shape.
