D Denis O Member Maidstone Aug 9, 2013 #4 Sometimes it's just that the later phone technology is either wholly or partly incompatible. My BB Bold 9900 will not connect but SWMBO's Bold 9000 works perfectly. That's in both the Zed and the X5. I've just given up using the phone in the car.

I inkey$ Lifer Sevenoaks & Suffolk Aug 9, 2013 #5 You have to keep trying. I don't know why but it does eventually connect as I've done it previously (iPhone 4 & 5 - although currently struggling with new car!)

At first press and hold the button, turn ignition to position 1, release button after approx three seconds. Screen says "bluetooth pairing" I believe. Then press and hold the button for 10 seconds or so. Screen will confirm and you'll get 3 audible bleeps.
