Hi,

If a car has the Pro Sat Nav fitted does it also have bluetooth phone connection or not?

If not, can it be retro fitted?

Cheers.

ProNav does not mean Blueooth is fitted, but yes it can be retrofitted, CJ10Jeeper and Andy have retrofitted, and I have all the parts to retrofit as I did with the SatNav

retrofit BT isnt that difficult as it's all plug and play. Biggest issue is having to remove half the interior to run the main loom from the front to the back of the car, although you could probably cheat and tuck it in under the tranmission tunnel.

Cost wise depends where you source the parts, I bought the loom, BT module, steering colum mic and pairing button from a forum member for £75 (IIRC) and bought a ULF on ebay for £20 which is cheap but 1st gen. THe ULF's are easy to swap though.

Cheers for that. Sounds a bit of a pain for a none mechanic which i am certainly not.

I would have to pay someone to do it which may make it too expensive. Thats if i go for this car i have been looking at of course.

I would definately go after market, the call quality and well known limitations of BMW's Nav unit would be the main deciding factors - and i have both on my car!!!

Does the parrot (or any of the alternative BT kits) integrate with the head unit and wheel controls?

TIA

yeah the parrot uses the stereo speakers for the conversation/voice (and auto mutes music), and with a Connect2 kit you can use the MFSW controls, although I didn't bother with that additional expense.

You mount the Parrot mic on top of the steering wheel where the OEM Mic would be fitted so it is hidden.
