Interesting, last time I looked at the online forms the instructions on the form to take the plate off seemed to be to just use the details you got to fill in the paper form. Oh well, it looks better now.

Also, if you have finance on the car and they get wind that you have changed plates, they want £25 admin fee for updating their records!

But weird though, it wasn't taxed at 11.30 PM last night :?

So, do I need to put the plates on straight away, or can I wait ? Birthday is on Tuesday so I may be forced by SWMBO to delay application :x

I couldn't believe how quick the DVLA did mine recently. Received the V750 within a couple of days, filled in to assign it to my car and posted it first class on a Thursday morning and by Saturday morning it was showing up on DVLA tax check website!

Wasn't showing up on the Friday night but it was on the Saturday! Looks like they can be quite efficient when they want to be!!

Yeah, guess that's it. However as Chris Knott aren't open on Sundays I will have to wait until Monday at the earliest anyway
