Bought the better half one for Christmas Y4DNY.....her names Denise or Deni hence the DNY..
£399 all in from DVLA.

If you buy at auction site etc don't forget there is an £80 transfer fee.

was after Z4 but could afford it.. :oops: not even for her.
 
i've said before, i would not buy a car specific plate, only go for a plate that relates to you
 
Bought one of the F1 xyz registrations a couple of years back from the DVLA. Only a few quid then. Now been told it is worth over a grand. Wow!
ps. It is currently on our Touareg not the Z4... :oops:

Just bought another one via (flea)Bay. Good price but usual "Nominee" versus "Grantee" stuff to contend with as not bought direct from DVLA.
 
damnit- after reading this thread I went on the DVLA site 'just to have a look' :wink: ..... and yep, bought one :oops: :driving:

i agree with this, but obviously everyone is different

my name is Levi and my plates say 13VIS

all my friends recognize it easily as my name and people who don't know me, usually cant pick it. and thats how i like it + i never have to buy another plate if/when I buy a new car
(cost about 250 GBP/ 400AUD)

nothing special unfortunately - all too expensive and I couldn't choose anything that made much sense..... so just got a 5 digit one with my 3 initials at the end. That way I can use it from now on and its not zed specific. 'F4 CDT' (my wife's name begins with an 'F' though - so it looks like its one of those heart things cut into the bark of a tree :rofl: :oops: )

Found a fab one for my wife - spelt out her first name and initial of her surname at the end ..... £4.5k though :(
 
I've just bought S700RT A my surname is Stewart, and my initial is A.
