Private Plate or not?

Got 3 plates on my cars - all as crap as yours and always been illegally spaced. Never been stopped.

What's a rally plate? Is that the same as rallying, cars side ways, lots of dirt, mental drivers, or like a 'show plate' which you would stick on for a car show?

I like private plates, proper old plates, i.e. pre-1963 (or something like that)................anything after that I like can look odd, depedniong on what it's on, and what it's trying to achieve.

Anything illegally spaced or messed I think is just awful (and I include friends who have these)..........

Mine mean nothing to anything but me, but I've had them for some time now and can't see them going anywhere either.......both hide the age of my cars (not important but most normal people wouldn't guess - in part as the cars are both rare anyway), but I think they just look better........

The converse of a private plate is that it makes you easy to remember if you drive like a tw@t or even if you don't but upset the wrong person LOL

i have T15 PVW, PVW being my initials, i could get T15 WPV but i'm not overly keen, i can't think of anything else though

There's loads thought Taz - how about T16 PVW for £250 from the DVLA ? T14 PVW is available as well at the same price. Includes the £80 transfer fee too.

Yep, or an Irish plate - you can have TAZ + 4 numbers for about the same, and there's lots of choice all the way up to TAZ + single digit (although this is a bit more expensive)

I think these cars, ///M's in particular look good with private plates on. It finishes them off and makes them even more special. I know some people don't agree and think that they're a waste of money and pretentious but hey ho.

Luckily I have a silly surname so our set were fairly easily to come across. Although saying that, W3 YLD - W9 YLD have all gone now.

despite the high cost of cars, one of the great things here is that for the moment all personal plates are dirt cheap. Mine cost around 250 pounds. Thinking of changing it to BMW Z4MR for a similar price

think personal plates finish off the Z's nicely.. Can you still get the dateless ones in the uk? Or is it just that they're crazy expensive?

Much like JAW I live in Perth Australia also.
My private plate is 1SP (My Initials)
In the Uk that would be crazy money!!, but like JAW I paid around $500 for it
Had to have it as reminded me of UK plates.
