Hi everyone

I have decided to take the plunge and start modifying my new toy after previous adventures with Impreza STIs, P1s, Jags, 535d and M3s. Here is my local providers quote

Sports Suspension kit £798.00
Labour £210.00
Front arm bushes - fitted £140.43
Trailing arm bushes inc modification - fitted £170.21
Supersprint exhaust £678.00
Connecting pipe £275.00
Labour £55.00
Front fog lights x 2 £163.04
Labour £27.50

VAT £440.51
TOTAL £2,957.69

So this is what I am thinking.

Go for front lights 'cos needed anyway due to condensation, exhaust and bushes front and rear. Is this teh right way to go and is the exhaust a good price?

Cheers

Here is the new baby anyway

Lovely looking Z!

Are these prices from BMW? If so looks like your 3.0si is a sport (from what i can make out of the passenger side seat bolster - so it is already 15mm lower then standard.

Cheaper alternatives would be some Eiback springs - will lower your car an extra 15mm (so 30mm from standard) and about £120-£150 to fit at an independent.

And £170 for fogs :o I'd remove them at that price.

No idea about the price of the exhaust - but my last few cars i have got a customer powerflow and/or blueflame and totalled under £400 inc fitting.

something to think about and yes it is the sport spec, you've got good eyesight.

Was the blue flame exhaust ok re sound as I have heard it can be to loud?

I had the blueflame on my Toyota Celica - It was more a rumble then loud (except once you get over 6k rpm then it bellowed!)

The advantage of a custom powerflow job (which what i had on my S2K) is if you get a competent place that can tweak the sound to how you want it - and obviously shape it to your specs.
