I've just got the aftermarket ones, they misted up the day after installation:(

I think I have read of many people having the same problems on here. I think you may be better off getting some silicone out on your old ones...

frying pan and fire sprant to mind even before I read your reply.

Use this stuff to seal your lights, It comes in black and sticks like s£&t to a blanket.

Make sure your happy with your lights thou as once it's stuck it's a nightmare to remove.!!

I am not sure it is the sealing that would be the problem though. There will be moist air in there which causes the misting during cold temperature.

I get the same on the factory rear lights of the Abarth, when it is cold there will be a mist but once the car is parked out of the open, it disappears.

Interested in these but what sort of price are they worth? Don't want to offend Jonny essex, with a stupid offer!

The other option is drill some holes in the back to aid air flow, the lights already have a 2 I think . On my old Audi I ended up leaving the back cover off which you used to gain access to the bulbs and it never misted up again.

The cover on the Z lights is rather large so probably not a good idea leaving that off :headbang:

Try and drill some inconspicuous breather holes in the back. My old Integra Type R lights used to mist up, I drilled a few 3.5mm in the back of each headlight and they were fine after that.

This.

And a few bags of silica gel.

I would say £500, breakdown being £400 for the lights and £100 for the labour and LEDs that have been fitted

OEM is a much better look IMO. Don't go aftermarket Jonny.... Do the breather hole and try some silica as mentioned

So if i sold £500?
Only if you find the right buyer - you might have more luck on here but I'd think that, on somewhere like eBay, a lot of people will be put off by them having been modified and those that aren't put off will be wanting to get them cheap.

When you buy something that has been modified by someone else, you never know what the standard of workmanship is like so there is always a risk and modified stuff can often be worth less than the equivalent unmodified item, unless you find the right buyer - which means that you may have to wait a while.
