Hi all!

Please see attached link to my PistonHeads advert:

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask

Great to see these hitting big miles with no mention of any engine work  some on here would have expected a total meltdown by 139k if still on original shells , cams & vanos  :P if the car has had any such work its well worth mentioning .
I suspect the over stretched 20k services won't aid your chances at £9750 so any interest you do get it would be worth negotiating to reach a sale or you could end up with either trade in value or a very lengthy sale

That’s lovely ..

I don’t think the services will be an issue .. some of them were only six months apart

The car was obviously being used as a mile muncher. ..20k of motorways in six months between services

The car was obviously serviced as per the BMW onboard indicator .. someone taking it to a BMW main dealer every six months for a seeing to has obviously not scrimped on maintenance imo

Now, if it was ring taxi doing 20k between services that would be different 😂😂

The S54 service regime is less generous than a Si N52 , 15k & the indicator should have been showing service required .
A one off late service ok but twice in 4 years isn't ideal on these engines  could well have had interims carried out but if so worth mentioning

This is my mate's car, its a beauty :) this should fly off the shelf!

It's also my car's twin! :P

Cheap ///m’s really make me want to jump back in!

Luckily I sold mine so cheaply that it stops me spending similar cash all these years later haha!!

Thanks for your comments guys!

@Mr Wilks, I certainly haven't had to carry out considerably engine work during my ownership, nor do I have evidence that this has been carried out by previous owners or is required at this point.

Point taken on the 2 slightly late services... I'll blame the previous owner for that! It depends on how pernickety prospective buyers are I guess. I'd say overall that it's been treated really rather well throughout its life in terms of maintenance!

I'm not in a mad rush to sell, but will of course consider sensible offers.

@earthdweller, Thanks! I will certainly be sorry to see it go when it does, but onward and upward, so they say.

Indeed, I also suspect it was a motorway cruiser earlier in it's life and to me at least, the service intervals look to be pretty correlative with the BMW onboard indicator.

Maybe it deserves a second lease of life as a ring-taxi... After all, these cars seem to go for silly money on the Continent so could be a win win ;)

@TCochrane92, we must get a pic of them together before mine departs!

I’m no expert and I’ll bow to your greater knowledge but the early ones wouldn’t bother me .. wouldn’t the variable service intervals extend if the car was doing light wear but high motorway mileage ?

but I get your point especially the last one where it went three yesrs

But, it’s still a lovely car and a great buy for someone 👍

Ive seen <60k cars with interiors that look far far worce. It has warn its miles very well.

Barely any sag in the drivers seat, steering wheel doesn't look too shiny.

As MR.W says it will need some preventative work but as long as the buyer knows it could be a great motor for someone

With it being a motorway muncher I would be less worried about wear as the engine is at temp and just on tick over sitting at 70-80.

Looks in excellent condition GLWTS

Looks great - I remember seeing this when I had my first Z4 but didn't know enough about M's at that point.

She has another sister!!

If you adjust your goggles & collate your research & info correctly you will find the majority of any comments i make on any sale posts are either positive or constructive ( i am by no means alone in doing this , its a open forum so others also offer thoughts |& comment)
Perhaps your grapes have soured after i commented on your own sale thread in a way you clearly took offence to ( & again feel free to read it again as its meant to aid your quest to sell your car which i assume you want to as its up fro sale ) https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=103435
Its not my fault you paid over the odds for a average example 3.0se that had been repainted a quirky colour , either enjoy it or realise you will not get anywhere close to what you paid & sell it for what its worth

OUCH !

mr wilks, this seems to be turning into an arse kicking contest, i have absolutely no doubt your knowledge is priceless and peerless, and if it were asked for would be invaluable - but it wasnt. the man is trying to sell his much loved car, he has every right to ask for 500k if he wishes , and to do so unhindered, i suggest you wind your neck back in and mind your own business. Im quite sure you think your helping, but our cars are an emotional thing, please bear that in mind when you rip someones beloved car apart in print.

Opinions are like arseholes, everybody has got one.
