In February last year I sold a standard GapTech RCH module that does not have the extra features that the RCH+ has and it sold for £65 within 2 hours with a 2nd person wanting to buy. The prices were the same from GapTech then as they are now.
I might just withdraw this now and put back on here in 2 months time. Then, those on this thread wanting to buy for £60/£65 will have bought their Gaptech RCH's elsewhere for £60
If this was aimed at me posting a link to the potential issue i'm having with mine I wasn't trying to upset anyone. I only did so to correct your factually incorrect comment about it being unheard of for them to go wrong and inform members. It isn't unheard of, buts its rare and my issue may well prove to be unrelated.
If you didn't want people to comment on their gaptech experiences or the price you shouldn't have put on a forum. Plenty of forum members don't for this very reason like the guy I bought some bits off recently. If comments were ging to upset you you should of stuck on ebay as you seem to be "threatening to" now, but even if you get a bite on your buy it now £80 you wont see £70 net after ebay/paypal fees. Advertising on here can be a minefield comment wise, but hey at least its free!
I sympathise with the issue that you have had with your roof recently but it is unproven reading through your thread that the Gaptech is to blame. There are a number of elements involved that work the roof including ECU, sensors, motors, cabling, etc all of which could be a possible cause. If the Gaptech was the cause it would be more likely that the problem was constantly there and not intermittent, intermittent problems are usually caused by movement e.g. sensors, motors, cabling, etc.
I have sold many items on this forum including 4 other items over the last week and a 3.0i Z4 2 weeks ago, so I have no problems selling on here. What I don't agree with is that when someone advertises an item and some people jump on the bandwagon to drive down the price of that item, which is what happened in this thread. Considering Gaptechs don't come up here for sale often, only 3 that I can see in the last 15 months, one being my standard RCH that was sold for £65, another where the price has been removed and the third sold for £60 that was 3rd hand after being bought 2nd hand by the OP for £85 for someone on the forum. There are currently none for sale on ebay.
