Hello,

I bought this with the intention of fitting to make my commute easier, but since making the car a little more track focused I've been using the other car for my commute.

I paid £175.99 for the kit brand new as pictured.

Looking for £125 including P&P (UK shipping only) to recover most of my costs.

Hi, I am interested. Will this fit my 2006 2.5i Zed E85.?

If you have the 2.5i then this will fit, and you won't require the extra loom included. However in 2006 the 2.5si was also available - so if this is the model you have then you will need everything included in the sale.

The above link is helpful for fitting/instructions. But I also found instructions online for the si models using the below link.

I think the facelift models which mine is do not have the wiring, so it will require the loom to fit. I believe so... I am sure someone will confirm.

Hi!
You have to wire it. Facelift doesn't have wires factory instaled.

Yes, correct. Thats what srhutch said in a thread. I believe he makes the wiring for the mod. So to reiterate, post facelift dont have the wiring in situ for most retro fits.
Cheers,

So that means no coupes have the wiring there? I thought all the coupes did.

Sorry but I was only commenting about the Roadster E85. I dont have knowledge of the Coupe.

So a 2003 3.0i will have the wiring loom in place and they just need to purchase a stalk set

Is there info where the loom connectors are.....under steering column?

Only cars made before Oct 2004 have the loom installed from the factory (uk cars)

Just remove the lower steering cowl and you should see a little plug. That goes straight into the switch.

OP, you might want to look at your pricing. TBH you overpaid in the first place. Stalk from dealer is around £115 and the loom £20 making £135 total delivered.

Noted and have reduced the price accordingly.

Hi guys, first post here. What a great forum. I bought a space grey 56 plate e86 si in April 2018 and I am still in love with it! There has been one thing bothering me though since I first completed the long drive back....the lack of cruise control. After doing some searching I found it could be retro fitted...but only to older cars, I even checked and I dont have the connector.

Another message on here says that BMW make a retro fit loom but it isnt very nice, requiring some cutting and splicing but that a better loom is available for my type of car. Does anyone know where I can get this loom? I have looked high and low.

Cheers,

Well welcome to the forum, but why not head over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself and your car? After all there are quite a few of us on here who do love E86s!

Anyway, the control stalk you will need is available from BMW for about £100. Sopers of Lincoln and Cotswold BMW seem to give a discount to forum members. Then you'll need to cut the lower half of the steering column cowl, but the outline is visible in the inside.

Then you need to contact "srhutch" on here who will make up the section of loom you will need for a sensible price. But you need to have made 3 posts before you can use the Private Message function.

Hope you get it sorted.
