Selling just car £4850 No Offers
Selling with Hard Top £5650 No Offers

Surely it must sell now. If I can't sell a Z4 on a wholly Z4 forum then I'll give in and probably break it.

The daft thing is Stan, people on here have more ideal of the market value than elsewhere.
You are more likely to get someone on Autotrader or Ebay thinking" Oooh a lovely convertible sports car - Wheres my savings ?"

People on here see them selling all the time, know where the faults lie (roof drains, etc )and how much they cost to repair,...and how to knock you down :poke:

park it on a street corner marked "For Sale" on a sunny day with the roof down and someone will think its £15-20k's worth.

I bought my first Zed for £4k. My mates were guessing it was worth about £15k !

Hang in there- it is way to good a car to break and you will struggle to realise the profit of selling as a whole car undamaged (especially with no storage once parts start to go as you have no garage now).
As said auto trader/ebay your best bet. GLWTS

Price makes more sense now you're fixed the error

Since you're questioning why it hasn't sold I'd suggest you are still asking for strong money for an '03 2.5 and the 'No offers' is a very detracting statement that would certainly put off buyers. Coupled with selling a sports car in Autumn and the somewhat remote location are all against a quick sale.

I here what your all saying. I have put a lot of money fixing the common faults with the Z4 and other new parts. The problem I have is that I always lose money selling any car as I maintain it to the best of my pocket. This particular car has wanted for nothing in my view and other than paint, is exceptional. Fixed price is fixed but you wouldn't not sell it for a £50 shortfall but there has to be a limit and with this car I'm at the financial limit now.
Tried autotrader! All I've had off there is others wanting a fee to sell it for you and you pay £35 for the privilege. Ebay, freebay, which ever you want to call it. Car actually sold 3 times over but all were either non genuine or bogus or someone used their account. What a load of tosh. Then on Gumtree you those offering money over the phone or email, usually markedly lower in price and not even turning up anyway.
I just think selling cars now is double hard when you can buy a new one for £139 a month.
So it's all up in the air. I'm not giving it away. I want its value and worth. What I've got it up for now is much less than I actually want for it. You can't win either way. Put it up for too little and someone smells a rat, too much and over priced. But why should I put my car any less than another which has many more miles and a cloth interior or no history. A car similar to that last description sold, yes actually sold for more than my one got with a third more mileage and one year younger and I'm thinking WTF is going on with people.
I'd give to my family rather than under sell it. I just think well it's your loss (buyer potential) not mine.
You or some said reduce and I have and now your saying reduce more........would you???

Its difficult Stan and I feel your pain. Honestly.
You've loved and cherrished it and spent money doing exactly what needed doing. It will find its value but you just have to be patient and wait for the right buyer to come along at the price you want.

What youve done is enjoy the summer in the car and then look to sell it at the worst time of year., but a great time for buyers.

Decide what your bottom line is and hold on if it wont sell. You will sell it for the money you wanted come Feb/March/April but probably not in Oct/Nov/Dec.. Try selling Ice creams this week and you'll find the same !

Dont take it personally, but anyone looking to buy a convertibale at this time of year is wise enough to be looking for a bargain as its currently a buyers market.

The other problem is getting someone in the car just to see how quiet and sturdy the cabin is with the soft top up you wouldn't think it was a soft top when in the car when it's driving with the soft top on. Not much if any difference with the hard top on but your obviously not getting the wear or water saturation on the fabric.
We will see. Thanks

Well hello again.
I am withdrawing the z4 I have for sale until the spring next year. It might of stood a chance of selling if it hadn't of been for the negative comments from established members! I shall keep looking on this site as a member and when I see those selling their cars will be just as negative about them.
Anyway thanks and in most cases "for nothing". Don't think it's any kind of sour grapes. I'd be better selling it when the weather is better and it seems for some odd reason that the 3.0ltrs are the only cars selling. I was told the 2.5 was the best engine to have but what do I know eh!
So ignore this for sale. Regard
