Price on vanos seals

I used I6automotive in Sheffield.
You can either go direct or through ebay. Two kits available one with rattle rings circa £25, one without rings £50.
 
I used the I6 kit and got my indie to fit it... He told me it was easy based on having done it on E46s with the same engine but then realised when he started taking it apart that the vanos unit is harder to remove in a Z... Was no issue just meant my car wasn't ready to pick up as quickly as he thought it would be so maybe take that into account f you are planning on doing the job yourself
 
It took me about 5 hours as an amateur spanner jockey taking my time. The worst part is faffing with the Vanos bolts you cant see and prising it out of the engine. Mine was a real sod - it slipped and cracked the thermo housing (which i found was leaking anyway!).

Car runs fantastically now. Idles buttery smooth - i can now stand up a 50p piece on the inlet manifold and it doesn't fall over - the way my old man says they should run :)
