Price of oil service (again)

So in the end I decided not to go down the dealership route, as I didn't think continuing with the BMW fsh would be of that much consequence when I come to sell the car at 10 years.

Took it to the little garage that found the fault on husband's focus and charged only £75 ( loose wire in the loom ) that Ford had already done £300 worth of work on and not found the fault on.

ANYWAY, had full oil service, dodgy lights fixed, full check over and tyres put at correct pressure, all for ....

£95 !!!!!! Other piece of good news, discussed the fact MOT was due in Jan, and the mechanic was of the opinion that she would pass without problem. :)

Sytner wanted £216 just for the oil service.

Added bonus, it's just round the corner from work so it was a no hassled drop off and pick up.

Having a tried & trusted indy for any routine or emergency work no matter what make can make or break car ownership .
Good news that you have found one you are happy with

Hi,

Would you be willing to pass on the details of the Garage ?

My Z needs an inspection II and I feel the same way about the dealership prices, especially as the cars get older.

Cheers

Look for a BMW specialist for more specific BMW servicing or part of the schedule is bound to get missed.

No problem, but this is in Leicester, which might be a bit far for you ? PM me if you still need details.

I would agree. Oil change should be ok on an older car. For a 2.0i should it be High Performance Synthetic oil like the 2.5i and 3.0i?
