Price for getting a MFSW fitted??

Can anyone tell me what their experiences have been in getting quotes from BMW Stealers to get a MFSW fitted that would be supplied by yourself??

I'm going for the popular upgrade shortly and am wondering if its worth going to my local stealer or going to a recommended indy to carry out the job...

where you based? May be better to offer a few quid/beers a forum member- bmw will fleece you. :telloff:
 
Live in the Teesside area near to Yarm...

I do try to do the off thing myself but something as important as fitting a steering wheel I'd leave to the experienced...I can only imagine driving along and it popping off...Top Gear style!
 
Ohhh dear....maybe the case that I'll post up again then when I have one in my possession.

Was just interested to see what the cost was from a Stealer.
 
I'm often across in Eaglescliffe, would only take a 1/2 hour or so, including the time to kill the electrical system.
Be glad to help if we can the timing right, though I'm out of the UK for long periods.
 
would take slightly more than half an hour if it is an 07 as they werent pre wired. If its a swapp of mfsw for //m mfsw then yeah 20 mins is accurate.
 
When I bought my E39 from dealer, it had the four-spoke ugly steering wheel. I asked the dealer to replace it with M Sport wheel. It was about £500. :(
