Price for a new front wing?

I almost put this under ‘what did you do to your car today’, but thought better of it. Im not sure hitting an iron post with the front offside wing counts as a bodywork mod.... Anyway, I need a new front wing for my 2006 Sapphire Black Coupe, and I was wondering what I can expect to pay for the repair? I’m in North Staffordshire, and I would appreciate any recommendations about where to get the work done. Over to the hive mind......and thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if they still have bits but Pic-up-spares in Swansea were breaking a black Coupe not long ago. Google them for the number. Worth a shout.

Here you go. See what they have left.

Thanks Firebobby. That one's coming up as from a roadster, but I guess it would be the same as the Coupe?
Yeah, I think the front wings are the same and it's the correct colour too.

Thanks again, Firebobby. Bought it today, and I've found someone local who can fit and do any tidying up necessary. BTW, a local indie specialist (no names) quoted £800 + vat for the job.

That's pretty nuts when you consider a brand new wing from BMW is £220!

If it's already sprayed up, it's fairly easy to fit. You just need some front arch plastic rivets and a new bumper bracket for the correct side. After that you just pop off the side skirt, push through the arch liner rivets, loosen the under tray bolts and bumper bolts. Wing unbolts, fit new bracket and bolt it all up again. About 90 min. Maybe £40 in parts tops if you go to the AD.

Ok; dealer quote was £1100 + VAT. Indy specialist, £800 +vat. Bought a wing for the same year and colour off ebay, £200 delivered in excellent order. Fitted by a mate of a mate in his body shop. Total cost £300, less than my insurance excess, and no-claims still intact. Somebody is making a lot of money here, but not from me.

Why new rivets and bumper bracket. The rivets are reusable and so is the bracket if not damaged.

Glad it worked out well for you, OH and
:worthless: :telloff:

I did exactly the same a few years ago. Bought a used Black Sapphire Wing. Original panel, with original paint, so effectivlye how it left the factory still.

The rivets in my arch liners were single use only, the ones where they push in and snap off. But they are pennies to get off eBay. I've never managed to successfully get the bracket out of an arch intact. But they are a bit pricey for what they are.
