Hi all,

Put my car on Auto Trader a couple of weeks ago, thought I had a sale only for the lady to pull out last minute (frustrating!). Rather than put it straight back on Auto Trader, I thought I'd put it on here for it to (hopefully!) go to a good home!

Overall, it's a fantastic car that is being reluctantly sold. In very good condition both inside and out. Brilliant colour combination of metallic black sapphire and black leather sports seats. Complete with 18 inch alloys and multi-function M-Sports steering wheel. Recently added 4 new tyres (removed the annoying run-flats) and has been very well looked after throughout my ownership. Only done just over 67k with 3 owners (including myself). No other modifications.

Body work has a few scratches here and there, most I believe can be machine polished out. The roof is fully functional and has been kept immaculately clean.

Was £7,500, £6550, now £6000! - serious buyers only please.

Full spec:
Electric windows, Air conditioning, CD player (with 6 CD Changer), Bluetooth, Leather trim, Heated seats, Full Electric driver and passenger Sports seats (memory seat for driver), Heated Driver and Passenger Seats, Metallic paint, Power steering, Steering wheel rake adjustment, Traction control, Central locking, Alarm, Immobiliser, Driver's airbags, Side airbags, Passenger airbags, Sport Button, 6 speed manual gearbox, MF M Sport Steering Wheel.

The car is based near Uxbridge (west of London). Leave a message here and lets discuss further!

Looks good from the pics, with the exception of the steering wheel. That’s an unusually high level of wear/dirt and will really put people off - is it something you might be able to fix with a leather restoration kit? There are also people on the forum who can refurb the multi-function buttons.

Or is it just a trick of the light?! :?

Oh my... I read your comment before I saw the photo, I was not prepared for that. Who refurbs MFSW plastics in the forum? One of the few jobs I'm not willing to do.

Just checked and it was Dietcokeman but he’s not registered any more. :(

Perhaps he fell ill due to the mental trauma of doing all the refurbs? Still not recovered from doing mine,

:o That’s a hell of a shame, Mike is a very nice, good guy. Pastry is your man to ask, he knows Mike well.

Very surprised to read he’s left. :(

Hi,

Yeah I've had the car for around 10 years - unfortunately the steering wheel does have some wear on it. Not looked into refurbishing it so no idea how much something like that would cost.

Unfortunately as with most 2nd hand cars there's always some imperfections and i feel I've priced the car accordingly considering the relatively low mileage

That's a great price for that model and spec. Just send the wheel off to Royals and it will come back looking amazing... https://royalsteeringwheels.com/

Should put the price reduction at the top. Can only see it if you read all the way down - which you might not!!

Hey John

His name is Bryan and was very helpful indeed. He did the refurb of the steering wheel trims and Royals did the leather.
He left due to non forum related things but I’m still in touch with him

When I first joined the Forum I bought a steering wheel from Bryan for my E85. He lives near Royals and kindly took it round to them for refurbishment. If you are still in touch with him please give him my regards. :D

Your steering wheel doesn't look worn to me, it appears to be caked in make up or fake tan. it will clean off quite easy with a diluted all purpose cleaner.

Hope this helps.

Is she still for sale? I would be interested in the car.
if anyone does know if it is still available, please let me know. I am looking to buy a 130i in the next few days but I think I might prefer a Zed!

Best,
George

Perfect! I’m not sure I can pm yet as I am new to the forum. Any other form of contact that would work for you?
