Need to replace the valve cover gasket on my 3.0 is it worth doing anything else while I'm doing that? Probably do the plugs, is there a vanos thing that needs doing seals etc? Disa valve is on the list anything else? Link to a parts supplier would be good cheers!

I did a full Vanos strip down and rebuild just last weekend. I bought the full rebuild kit from X8R on Ebay for £140. Definitely the best £140 I've ever spent on my Zed...what a difference ! Like having a new/different car...bags of torque now ! This kit includes a quality Elring valve cover gasket and RTV sealant as you need to remove the valve cover to then be able to remove the Vanos unit. Coincidentally X8R also do an aluminium Disa valve kit....happy days !

Thanks I can't wait it get started on these bits but don't want to spend anymore money on rhe thing untill I get the airbag light off! I'll either be buying one of those kits or a box of matches!

I’m all for preventive maintenance if the opportunity arises.
You may want to think about replacing the ccv system if you don’t know how old it is or if it’s the original as it will DEFINITELY fail on you at some point.
I replaced mine with the febi cold climate version as it has thicker tube insulation.
Clean your icv and throttlebody while your’e poking around about the disa.
