Have noticed over the years the tiny wear marks either side of the fabric softtop are slowly getting worse.
These are caused by contact with the rubber trim along the boot line when driving with the roof down.
A few people have suggested putting velcro / tape on the seal where it contacts but really this is just decreasing the clearance even further.
Last night I tripped over a piece of pipe insulation I had laying around the garage and it occurred to be it was the perfect radius to tuck around the edge of the roof when folded. Left overnight and then removed in the morning, it has done a great job of increasing the clearance around the contact points.
I will repeat over the weekend but hopefully this will be helpful to other members who are beginning to see wear marks appearing.
