Hi folks
Many thanks in advance for reading.
I’m sure it must be on here but I cannot seem to find it.
Is there a list stating which are the most important parts to change and at what mileage/age. Obviously standard service items I know but is the a link to comprehensive list.

E89 2.0 msport 2016
Glacier silver auto

Gummi plege or similar treatment on all the rubbers around roof and boot, plus check the condition of the mastic sealant around the rubber on the top edge of the boot, this tends to dry out and go powdery letting water into boot, it’s a good idea to regularly check the battery compartment and the little storage hole for any signs of water. You’re also better off changing the engine oil between the recommended service intervals.

2016 car, buy a new battery.
It will keep going but i noticed agm's i bought have 5 year warranty, for a reason.
I do 5k oil changes.
Brake fluid 2 years don't use dot 5.1, it rots the seals.
I had to replace the master cylinder after significant braking loss.
Plugs are good for 50k at least if not more, same as coolant.
Alternator belt (that was a 3 min job on my car) was good even at 60k but why take a chance, carry the old as spare..
Front pads seem to last for ever, but rears wear twice or more.

Only use cheap bottled water in washer bottle hoping all the bugs in it has been killed filtered out to stop the filters getting clogged.

Ok I have done the following:
Oil change when I got it 3.5k ago but will be due soon so I will do it
Brake fluid change 6 months ago
New discs and pads all 4
New salmon relays
New battery
New wipers
New boot struts

The 19 inch wheels with run flats don’t give a good ride do they! Got another set with non run flats which are better but still really bumpy.

Check out the roof rubber and belt at the weekend.

Thanks for input

For a 37k mile , 6 year old N20 powered E89 I think you are done for at least the next 12k miles..just enjoy driving it…unless you want to start doing some upgrades.. :poke: :tumbleweed:

Salmon relays and chain tensioner (from what I have read the chains should last forever, but the tensioner can wear out and allow the chain to slap back and forth increasing wear),cheap insurance and about 100 bucks for both...

Chain issue applied to earlier N20 engines..OP’s engine post dates the major revision to N20 cam chain and tensioner sub system..

So timing chain Tensioner is a weak point. What mileage /age should I swap it out at? I already did the salmon roof relays.
Thx
