Hi, does anyone know what exactly is this 'Rear Apron'? does it translate to Complete Rear Bump or is it the bit at the bottom of the Rear bumper (where the rear diffusor goes)? has anyone seen/used this part before? thanks!!
 
I actually rather like that and it might be just what I need for a longer term project to move to quad exhausts instead of a ///M rear

Difficult to tell from the information supplied and text but my feeling is it would be something that you cut away the lower edge of the existing panel and mounted the new piece in, hence the lip around the edge. Priced at $500 woudl to me indicate it's no the while rear end as id the fact it's not offered with and without PDC.

Drop them a line and ask for clarification price and shipping of 2 to the UK :)

you can see two versions available, one for the quad system and another for the standard exhaust (quad system is double in price??) - there are fitting instructions on the standard exhaust system.

as far as i can tell you can just 'chop' off the left bit to achieve the same look as the quad system ( and modding the exhaust like one of the forum member's alpina project?) (hence why the double in price for the quad system rear apron?) :?


EDIT - oh, plus it seems like if you use those part you Z'd turns into a 3.3 as well :evil:
 
hey cj10jeeper, i've emailed them a few weeks ago but got no reply :x , but I will be in HK myself sometime next month so considering bringing it back as a check-in baggage!!! :rofl: (hopefully it'll pass as an oversize 'luggage')
 
Interesting and not sure why I never saw it before as I actually run a Hamann exhaust system on my X5 :headbang:

seems like the twin is the single with the lip cut off so could be good for staged projects - if, as and when, I go to twin.

I'm off to a meeting shortly but will have a look this afternoon in more detail.
 
dont mind the bumper, would look pretty cool with the quad exhaust. please dont bother with that naff boot spoiler though, looks as if its home made, Blue peter style !
 
Would go nowhere near the spoiler - we share the same views on them.

I do still like the undertray in your signature photo
 
Don't like it. The more i look at it the more i think it 'squares' the backend too much. Too many horizontal lines.

Much prefer the Aero rear apron. :)
 
I really like the Carbon Fiber Rear Diffusor however IIRC it only fits the 'new' shape models? :(
