what did you have before the 108's?
Winters I guess.

I'm keeping my winters on, I reckon we've not seen the end of the snow. Certainly with the state of the roads, potholes, etc I'm happy to continue rollin' on the pram wheels for another few weeks. Still cold enough for winters where I am at least...

Same here too, and the roads are knackered, last year's potholes have got now potholes in them :(

Which style of wheel are your winter wheels? That question is to anyone.
BMW style 104, 16" with 225/50/16 tyres. Standard wheel on some Z4s other than the 3.0i - they're quite close to the calipers on the fronts of pre-facelift 231ps 3.0i's (as in close enough to hit bigger stick-on weights...). Fitted mine with Kumho KW27 winter tyres which have been superb, although today's 11degC temps have meant a good bit of tokyo drift action (at 20mph) this morning :)

Not seen them wheels before, they would look pretty good in an 18" me thinks.

Yeah, I really like the design of them but as you say they need to be a couple of inche bigger. They remind me very much of Speedline Turini's as fitted to Clio Cups and often on 306's, Impreza's, etc.

Down here we seem to be hovering around or above the magic 7° at the moment so I'm switching back this weekend, it is more over than under and the Vreds handle the wet very well, if not the cold.

I have 103s with Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D tyres - the rims are quite tight on the bigger calipers, but I do like the way the disks fill the wheel.

Here's them in action...

Yeah I saw that vid when you first posted it. How much were your winter tyres? Mine is on the same rims as yours in the pic, Im thinking of doing what most of you seem to do and get some nicer wheels for the summer and revert back to my current ones for winter.

 I'm whoring that clip all over the net, whenever I get a chance, the winter tyres have been a revelation even in the cold and I want to spread the word!

The tyres weren't cheap, about £125 a pop, but definitely worth it, and will last a few years.

Winter rims were 8 spoke BMW 18" jobs that came with the car ....... no idea what series number,

anyway, first dry(ish) day for months today and Ive got a day off ....... :D
