Prefix Style Plates

May be a stupid question, but im new to all this so sorry if it is :oops:

Can I put a prefix style plate on my 2007 (07) plate zed?

I can see you cant make your car newer but the current style plates dont make it look any different really (I was looking at BM56 XXX where xxx are my initials)..

So wondering if I could have Z4 XXX for example?
