Pre setting seat and steering wheel heating, no longer functioning.

I need to got to the supermarket shortly (local shop :wink: ) I’m not sure how I’ll cope at McDonalds or the tollbooth without my automation working oke:

Go onto Home Screen
Click into ‘Apps’
Click ‘Options’ button (Located next to the iDrive Controller)
Scroll and select ‘Update Apps & Services’

Didn’t know you could do that. Deleting the profile and resigning in has the same effect I think, but you lose all your settings. Was too impatient sorting out ringo parking app in my car.

Logged in to ask about auto seat heating, and there, someone has asked exactly the same question only days ago.
Mine has stopped working too, right out of the blue.
And, bizarrely my (2021) G30 330e is now suffering from the same problem. Plus neither of them retain settings for 15 mins after switching off.
Gremlins at work…….?
Please can someone help. I’ve tried everything.

My first instinct is to suggest that there is a problem with the profile. Delete it and log in again. See if that sorts out your issues.

I checked my car and setting is gone. Was able to use it once so far. I keep car in the garage, so temperature is always higher than 10C I setup for seats switching on.

Seriously weird…….
Following my post a couple of days ago, I contacted my dealer and BMW. BMW haven’t got back to me but my dealer certainly did, they were great and they too checked with BMW on my behalf but said “they were not forthcoming”. Still didn’t have a solution which worked. They suggested a software update had become stuck part way which I guess might make sense.
However……used the G20 last night and, after about 5 miles, all the settings reappeared and began working!
Full of hope I tried the Z4…although I did 20 miles in it yesterday, no such luck. No settings.
Not sure if this helps anyone, but hopefully they might all sort themselves out.

No, I’ve not been at the whiskey…..did anyone else’s car wish them Merry Christmas from BMW mid December? It came up on both cars in the centre of the screen. As I was driving I couldn’t get a picture of it. Oddly, around the time the Z4 lost the seat heating options…..

Got both the Merry Christmas and New year videos, which is a bit weird as still can't get the latest RSU. BMW online were useless, wanting screenshots of zero relevance, finally escalated it and came back with the original "You will need to take it the dealer sir"

Car will be due a service by mileage around March, so will get dealer ti do it then.

Apps, rsu's, seat and wheel heating, interface this, afterface that, diagnostic glitch in the software means the hardware ain't hard anymore so the map won't read the ECU unless the download is configured with the upload with a dongle that allows the smart bus bar to connect with the primary screen flash card that reads off the tint'web to allow the full function of the menu or the secondary outerface gets confused as to what the fecks going on.....

Just crank the bas***d and drive will you..... oke: :evil: :wink:

Mine came back yesterday. It was a bit colder in the garage and seat switched on automaticaly. I later checked settings and everything was back.

I preferred non-connected cars without surprises and changes happening in the background.

I noticed on mine the past few days that they don't always come on at the start but then sometimes after driving a while suddenly my seat gets hot.
It might be related to battery levels or something or it may be a little buggy .
