in 2 weeks and 2 days my faithful old Z will be available for sale (this isn't a for sale thread)
Its a 2004 3.0i SE with a few extras, Memory seats (not heated), Royals MFSW, M illuminated gear knob, M alloys (224?) with very good Eagle 19s. Aftermarket Angel eye headlights, drilled discs and CD changer (never used). I've owned it for just under 2 years and its been great, just a couple of minor niggles sorted very easily.
Condition wise its pretty good for a 14 year old car, few chips on the front bumper, slight bubbling on one alloy centre. Couple of minor issues that don't really affect the car, chip on windscreen repaired prior to me and passed two MOTs, Parcel shelf switch broke so shelf stays in down position. Indicator click sometimes doesn't make its sound and part of the front bumper under tray is missing.
The paint (stirling or titanium - not sure) shines really well with Harley wax, Its been clayed and waxed twice yearly. Garaged when not in use the car hasn't seen rain for at least two years. The roof motor is dry and functions perfectly and the drain holes a clear and drain freely. Service history is a bit thin - stamped service book only. MOTd until next May I think and serviced in April (all fluids and poly belt, thermostat and water pump ).
It drives really well, no tram lining or steering issues I'm aware of, no rattles or shudders from the drive train. smooth gear changes and revs cleanly all the way to the red line (once warm of course). The car thinks its averaging about 36mpg but I think thats optimistic even so its pretty economical for a 3 litre car. Its currently on a private plat and folks are amazed when I tell them its 14 years old with 98k on the clock
I had two brand new E89s before this one and this has been a much less painful ownership than either of them.
Now I'm thinking of asking £3750 ono and expect a little haggling so what do people think?
