Evening all.

I’m new here and looking to test drive a Z4MR next week with possibility of purchase. I have located a BMW specialist near to the sale location. Has anyone used Hind Heath BMW Specialists in Sandbach?

Has anyone reading this owned GX56CXF.

I don’t know if I’m confident listening for VANOS issues etc. I’ve researched for “common” issues etc. just a little daunting.

This is the advert. (Dealers site has it at £14,000)

Any advice, thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.

Cheers

Mark.

Looks a nice example. It’s due brakedluid service based on time so I’d be making sure that got done as part of the deal. I’d also make sure the parrot phone could be removed without leaving any holes.

Autotrader and other dealer sites use an algorithm that puts the price up or down if a lot of people look at a car.
When I went with my cousin to look at a car we had saved a screenshot of the ad and they honoured that price,
That’s when they explained why it had risen so much.

It's showing priced at £14,990 today!

The MOT history looks reasonable, it's only had one failure in 2024 for a tyre and non-matching headlights otherwise just some minor advisories.

There are no entries in the Service book after 2021 so I'd want to check that out - maybe the copy invoices cover it? Even the trader mentions rod bearing shells not having been replaced and at that mileage I'd want to get them done, which is probably £1,500 at a reliable Indy. (When I had mine replaced at 78K all 6 upper shells were showing copper). Adding that cost to the current asking price gets you to £16.5K which IMHO is a couple of grand too much.

FWIW someone on here compiled a comprehensive database and using the VIN in the photo it looks like the only options it had were heated seats, rear parking sensors, piano black trim and a CD changer. Link here:- https://tonyz4c.z28.web.core.windows.net/index.html

Anyway welcome to the forum and good luck finding the right MR, whether it is this one or another.
