Just pre-ordered the 2015 Golf R! Well technically my fiancee did, but I'm just as excited!

- really I speced a new one up with leather etc and with the discount a factory order car only came to 32k. lovely car if the 911 had not come up i was seriously thinking of getting one - had a Mk V Golf GTI but this is in a different league. VW dealer i spoke to said since it had come up they had sold very few GTIs.
 
There were some very tempting lease deals on these a while back which drove a big demand. I don't think they are around for the time being though.
 
Funnily enough I was only watching this the other day. Worth a watch if you're interested in either the Golf R or M235i.

Good video inkey. Love Golfs, had 3 but can't help thinking a lot of us are too old for them now

Where is Chris Harris these days, by the way?

When I see the rear of the M235 at the beginning of that vid and later on too, it reminds me of the Mk5 Escort rear end for some reason.
 
I'm a m235i fan myself the interior on that golf is very bland for a 30k plus car! I also think the golf won't hold its value as well. Both cracklings cars but I'm a BMW fan so that's what I would have :)
